The two-day laboratory led by Nissa Nishikawa and Michele Occelli focuses on scored movement, improvisation and hypnosis to enhance awareness, sensitivity and concentration aiming towards a full integration of mind and body. Bringing to light the ‘immaterial’ through the observation of nature can shift the limits of the individual body into a collective movement.
The point of departure for this laboratory is to focus the body and heighten the senses through body and mind training disciplines. This will be explored by drawing upon the fundamentals of movement. Participants will engage with the landscape, weather, animals, and conduct studio-based practice in a dialogue with individual and group hypnotherapy.
This weekend is of relevance to anyone interested in exploring the body and its physical presence in the environment. It can be aligned to various artistic practices.
